About Jentera

INDONESIA JENTERA SCHOOL OF LAW

The primary challenge of building a business in Indonesia lies in the lack of fundamental legal certainty. At its core, this is a human resource issue. Many law graduates, upon entering the workforce, feel ill-equipped to confront inefficient systems and institutions. This reflects a significant challenge in the public sector, particularly as the Indonesian government strives to advance national bureaucratic reform. The same issue persists in the private sector, where firms and companies often report the need to provide in-house training to new graduates to bring them up to professional standards.

In our view, the unpreparedness of Indonesian law graduates across both sectors stems from a disconnect between law school curricula and the practical demands of the legal profession. This gap not only leaves graduates underprepared for real-world challenges but also contributes to a broader decline in the quality of legal knowledge, suggesting that academic programs are not adequately exposing students to the realities of professional legal practice.
